In football, Zimbabwean champions FC Platinum will be playing ASC Jaraaf from Senegal in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup group stage playoff at the NSS on Sunday at 3pm. Platinum need a good result to take with them to Senegal for the second leg next week.
The EPL continues with champions Liverpool, still licking their wounds from that mauling they suffered at the hands of Manchester City last week, on the road to third placed Leicester City for a big match in both sides’ Top 4 challenge.
Speaking of Man City, they will be involved in the headline fixture of the weekend at 7.30 with their home game against a creaky Tottenham Hotspur side. Jose Mourinho renews his rivalry with Pep Guardiola, with the Portuguese manager having won their last two meetings without conceding a goal. You can be sure Pep will be itching to rectify that tomorrow.
On Sunday, second placed Manchester United travel to WBA at 4pm before Arsenal host Leeds United at 6.30. Chelsea play on Monday night.
Over in Spain, the runaway leaders Atletico Madrid are away at Granada to kick off the weekend with a chance to open up an 8 point lead with a GIH. Barcelona will entertain Alaves in the late game tomorrow while Real Madrid play on Sunday, hosting Valencia in a tricky fixture.
Serie A features a big fixture tomorrow at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona where champions Juventus are on the road against Napoli. After that, the leaders AC Milan play lowly Spezia
On Sunday, second placed Inter Milan entertain Lazio in another tasty match-up in San Siro.
Over to rugby, the Six Nations in Europe continues with England taking on Italy at Twickenham before Scotland host Wales at Murrayfield tomorrow.
On Sunday, the best match will be in Dublin between Ireland and in-form France at 5pm.
In cricket, there is plenty of cricket on the Indian subcontinent to dig into. Bangladesh are playing the West Indies in the second and final test of their series.
Tomorrow morning, India and England will begin the second of their 4 test series in Chennai.
Pakistan and SA play their second T20 match in Lahore tomorrow before coming back again on Sunday for the third and final match.
